Todd H Davis

May 27, 1967 — February 24, 2023

Lugoff, SC

Our loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, teacher, mentor, and friend completed his earthly service unexpectedly on February 24, 2023.

Todd was born in Ogden, Utah, May 27, 1967, to Les and Ina Davis of Clearfield, UT. He was the oldest of nine children. Todd attended and graduated from Clearfield High School in 1985 and Weber State University in Computer Science in 1992. He served a two-year mission in the Oklahoma Tulsa Mission (also known as the Only True Mission) from 1986-1988. He married Kimberli Slane in the Manti Utah Temple on June 14, 1990. Todd and Kim soon added four children to their family: Jade, Logan, Ashlyn, and Madilyn. They raised their little family in Portland, Oregon where Todd worked at Nike, Inc Headquarters. After 14 years in Oregon, the family moved to Heber City, Utah and then back to Clearfield, Utah where Todd taught, coached, and created an athletic program at Spectrum Academy, a charter school for children and young people on the Autism Spectrum. He taught there for almost 10 years. After all of his children were married, he and Kim moved to South Carolina where Todd worked at the University of South Carolina in the Information Technology department first working on Data Integrity then on to other projects. Todd unexpectedly passed away from an enlarged heart which defines him more completely than any other diagnosis.

Todd is survived by his wife, Kim (Lugoff, SC), sons Jade (Tori; Eagle Mountain, UT) and Logan (Lindsay; Manhattan, NY), and daughters Ashlyn Charlesworth (Cameron; Lugoff, SC) and Madilyn Hunter (Scott; Enfield, CT), and six grandchildren with one more coming soon. Also survived by his parents Les and Ina Davis of Syracuse, UT, sister Jill Figgins (Trever) and Sheri Barber, and brothers Roger (Melissa), Jed (Crystal), Erik (Jodi), Craig, Marty (Camille), and Bracken (Kaylie).

A viewing will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Friday, March 3, 2022 at Russon Mortuary, 1585 West 300 South, Syracuse, UT. for all friends and family who may not be able to attend the viewing and funeral on Saturday.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 4, 2023 at the Clearfield North Stake Center, 151 North 1000 West, Clearfield, UT., where a viewing will be held from 9:45 – 10:45 a.m. prior to services.

Fly High , Todd Davis – Hayden Voss

There are many words to describe a teacher. Overjoyed is how he felt holding his first grandchild. Dedication to every single one of his teachings like a preacher.

Davis was a patient being that drove many miles.

Dad, papa, or father is what his children called him. A coach, teacher and father figure are similar labels. Valuable is more than I can say for his light is dim. Inspiration is left behind as he befriends angels. Spectrum Academy has lost yet another light.

Fearless is how I saw you, Mr Davis.

Laughter and smiles at every corner.

You can’t deny how much we’re all going to miss you.

He knew how to motivate his teams and family. I learned how to be a good sport. Grief is not easy as we grieve the man testing our abilities. He’ll forever remain the best on and off court.

Dear Les, Ina and Craig, Every bit of our heart goes out to you and your family during this time. Please accept our sympathy. We will always remember Todd as an exceptional young man who helped us in need with our yardwork, with no hesitation. That shows what a good upbringing he had, you should be very proud. May God bless your family and loved ones on this solemn day. Sorry we couldn’t make it to the funeral but you are in our thoughts and prayers. Love the Bennett’s Gary and Debbie

Dear Kim & family,

I am grieved, that some contagious sickness is keeping me from joining you at this time.

Especially when my husband suddenly completed his mortal life just a few weeks before Todd. My heart goes out to all, of you!

If there’s online streaming of the funeral, I’ll be watching.

My husband & oldest son each served in Tulsa Oklahoma Mission. And we treasure our time with having you, Kim, and Todd in our home when we had a little Sacrament service during 2020. Plus all the interaction as neighbors & Ward family members. We love you!!!

With love,

Maxine Droge (and Lynn from Heaven).

I’m sure Lynn will join the funeral, with the other grand host of angels.

Kim and family, we are so very sorry for your loss! 💛

Kim, Tom and I are so blessed to have you and Todd as friends! From college days with big bangs, to weddings, babies, job searches, and grandchildren, our lives are better for having you in them. 😊

Although miles and time have separated us physically, whenever we had the chance to talk or see you, we would pick back up like we were together just yesterday. That type of friendship is rare and a true gem to be treasured! 💎

Todd was such an exemplary man and his loving spirit was evident in all that he did in this life. May the memories of your time together on earth sustain you until you are reunited!

We love you, and we’re here for you in whatever way you need. ❤️

Keeping you and your family in our prayers.💕

All our Love,

Lisa and Tom

Coach Davis is so appreciated for his tireless efforts and love he gave to his players. Coach Davis taught various sports to the players, but more important, he instilled a combination of competitive drive with an even greater dose of compassion and super sportsmanship.

Our grandson liked the sports activities, and loved “Coach” even more. We enjoyed watching the games and our young men, and we were super impressed with Coach Davis.

Coach Davis started with many inexperienced, apprehensive, and shy players. With “Coach’s” tutelage and compassion, he built a really great team.

Thanks Coach Davis, you’ll always be in our hearts.
